Welcome to Byphasse! We are a Barcelona-based family brand that started in the year 2000, becoming the hard discount market leader.

We are specialized in skincare and personal care. We now have more than 170 products for face, body, hair, feet, hands and baby. Since 2020, we have been offering a wide selection of products certified vegan by the V-Label.

We are firm believers that everyone has the right to high-quality, affordable personal care. With that as our foundation, we’ve developed our ‘XL size. XS price’ formula, which has helped us reach markets in more than 100 countries around the world.

Our new product lines are geared towards New Future care, with shortened ingredient lists that are as simple as they are effective (Back to Basics line), with a higher concentration of natural ingredients, as well as specific personal care with dermocosmetic expertise and the pleasure of a sensory experience at home (the Skin Booster Sheet Mask collection). We are loyal to our values of proximity and transparency, showing our customers respect by engaging deeper with their consumer habits, because it's not just about cosmetic products, it’s about being able to choose what we love and be comfortable in our own skin.

VEGAN

We have offered vegan certified products since 2021, which are free from any animal-derived ingredients and can be easily identified by their product label. To do this, we work with the European Vegetarian Union (EVA), which certifies the authenticity and veracity of the process and grants the internationally recognized V-Label according to standardized criteria. This decision is here to stay; we now have 82 vegan-certified products, with our goal being to have more than 70% of our product catalog vegan certified by 2025.

INGREDIENTS

We stay up on the latest beauty trends, and are always on the hunt for the best ingredients for our products. Our formulas are designed with the latest generation of active ingredients, which we carefully select based on a strict preference for natural ingredients. From organic cactus elixir to zinc salts, pomegranate enzymes or AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids), our newest lines bring together the latest trends and formulas with skin-enriching properties.

All Byphasse products comply with European Regulation No. 1223/2009 on cosmetic products, while production processes adhere to the strictest quality standards: ISO 22716:2007 GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) and ISO 9001:2015 QMS (Quality Management Systems).

TESTS

Dermatology tests allow for the quality and safety of our products to be certified. We also carry out consumer tests (under dermatologist supervision) to evaluate a product’s subjective safety and efficacy. Participants are chosen according to different criteria (age, skin type, etc.) and use a product regularly during a sufficient period of time under the conditions necessary to evaluate results.

An effort to continuously improve our products sees each of them undergo exhaustive evaluation and monitoring processes to guarantee safety, validity, and efficacy throughout product lifespan. Once the product is launched, we constantly monitor our customers’ degree of acceptance and appreciation of it.

As part of our efforts to reduce carbon emissions, all of our products are produced in the European Union. Made in EU production also requires that European manufacturers be in compliance with EU carbon emission laws.

HISTORY
BYPHASSE SINCE 2000

First and foremost, Byphasse is the story of Caroline and Didier. In 2000, these lovers of the Mediterranean set off on a great adventure to shake-up the beauty industry in their own small way by making personal care and hygiene products affordable to all. Such a challenge deserved a revolutionary solution: products that are big on size and small on price.

Almost out of urgent need, the idea to re-write the rules of cosmetics blossomed from their personal story. Both coming from humble beginnings, their education was driven by the economy of good sense, along with the importance of respect and an open ear. Evenings spent debating ideas, running the numbers, and above all applying the keen awareness they honed from observing the world around them... And Byphasse was born!

Their role within the company was defined organically. Then, thanks to a team of passionate individuals from different corners of the globe, the first two products were launched: the make-up remover cream and the Douceur lotion, which the sector received enthusiastically. The world had been waiting for Byphasse!

Who doesn’t dream of a home wellness session? At an affordable price and big on quantity? Even better! Byphasse quickly became a discount market leader. It was built to last…

I wanted to change those old rules that said taking care of yourself had to be expensive. And then it's just a question of believing in your project and accepting the challenge! We have been working with Caritas Spain since 2013, ensuring that the neediest have access to BYPHASSE hygiene products. We regularly donate essential products to this NGO, which benefits more than 3,000 at-risk families living in Barcelona and its surrounding areas.
