All of our products are subjected to an exhaustive quality control process. They are dermatologist-tested by experts in the lab, and their safety is assessed by the industry’s most respected toxicologists.

We have offered vegan certified products since 2021, which are free from any animal-derived ingredients and can be easily identified by their product label. To do this, we work with the European Vegetarian Union (EVA), which certifies the authenticity and veracity of the process and grants the internationally recognized V-Label according to standardized criteria. This decision is here to stay; we now have 82 vegan-certified products, with our goal being to have more than 70% of our product catalog vegan certified by 2025.

25 years, time to celebrate! Our founders reveal the story, memories, and secrets that have shaped Byphasse since its creation.
First of all, could you describe your respective roles within Byphasse?
Didier: It all started with an impossible challenge: creating cosmetic products for one euro. In the 90s, I sold surplus products from major brands, but when technology improved and the surpluses disappeared, I had to reinvent myself. My clients kept asking me for “good, beautiful, and cheap” products, and that need became my opportunity.
With no production experience, I searched for a manufacturer who would believe in me. Everyone said no—until one accepted. We were both going through a difficult time and decided to take a chance together. That’s how the first two Byphasse products were born: the cleansing milk and rose tonic, which 25 years later are still part of our catalog.
I am Didier, CEO and Founder of Byphasse along with my wife Caroline. Sounds important, right? Hahaha. Byphasse wasn’t born from a plan, but from a conviction: to make beauty accessible without compromising quality. And that vision, simple yet strong, has guided us from day one.
Caroline: When Didier told me about making two basic, large, and accessible products, I immediately knew I wanted to be part of it. I don’t know if it was his conviction or my experience as a mother that made me connect, but it felt meaningful. One spring afternoon, sitting on our terrace, I designed the first products and chose the colors: pink for my passion for ballet, white for my love of order, and gray for discipline. That’s how Byphasse was born: from intuition, authenticity, and our values. Today, my main role (Brand Manager) remains the same: I am the guardian of the brand, and my mission is to protect its essence as if it were a part of myself.
What does it feel like to be 25 years old (again haha)?
Didier: Young? In the prime of life? Hahaha. The truth is, we still feel the same excitement as on the first day. It’s not just a cliché; we really feel it. At 25, you’re hungry for new experiences, eager to build, learn, take on projects, innovate… Well, that’s exactly how we feel now.
We take nothing for granted, and that keeps us awake, motivated, curious. Of course, it also requires discipline, observation, and a lot of energy… but at 25, we still have plenty of that (hehe).
Caroline: Today, what stands out above all is gratitude: for still being here, growing and dreaming. Thank you to our teams and our partners, because without their talent, we would not be here celebrating our 25th anniversary. Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the Byphasse project and helped it endure over time. Thank you to those who are still with us and have seen the brand grow by our side. And thank you to our three children who, each in their own way, have actively contributed to the brand’s development. They are true pillars of the company and have opened so many windows for us—windows we may never have looked through otherwise. Because the best way to honor the past is to continue looking toward the future.
In 2000, at the launch, did you imagine Byphasse would become what it is today?
Caroline: When we launched the brand in 2000—the same year our third daughter was born—we didn’t really know what “creating a brand” meant. We just had a clear vision: to make personal care accessible. No big plans or certainties, just the will to create something useful.
We learned on the go, made mistakes, adapted, and one day, without realizing it, we were building something big. We never stopped too long to celebrate because each achievement brought a new challenge.
Today, we understand that continuing to grow is not just ambition; it’s responsibility: many families depend on Byphasse. That’s why we keep setting new goals as we reach the previous ones, otherwise we would stagnate. And then, we probably wouldn’t be here answering this question.
What anecdote has left the biggest mark over Byphasse’s 25-year history?
Didier: Being true to my values once meant saying goodbye to our best client. We were in Paris, in a key meeting. That client represented a large part of our revenue (he knew it) and dared to impose demands that clashed directly with my principles.
Without blinking, I told him it would be the last time we worked together. And it was.
Years passed. That director was removed for ethical reasons. The same company called me with a new manager, new values… and together, we doubled what we had previously billed.
That experience taught me that sometimes losing for the sake of integrity is the bravest way to win.
What do you think is the secret to Byphasse’s success and longevity?
Didier: The real secret lies in our duo. We are two radically different people, united by the same values. A fusion where we try to turn differences into balance, and balance into purpose.
Caroline brings delicacy, discretion, and a sense of beauty; for her, creating is a vital need, a way to express deep emotions through aesthetics. And she does it in a timeless, magnetic, comforting, and sometimes even intimidating way.
Croline: Didier is the strategist, the visionary, driven by insatiable curiosity and the need to understand everything. I’ve seen it over and over in 40 years: how he combines brilliant ideas that sometimes seem eccentric or illogical to others.
If Byphasse were a person, what would you like to say to it?
Croline: Thank you. Gracias. Thank you. For making it all worthwhile. When you start something, you do it with hope but no certainty. That uncertainty sometimes makes you want to give up. But this project was born from a deep need rather than a mere ambition for profit.
Didier: It’s easy to say you need to be disciplined, consistent, and patient, but when you are in the middle of the process, you don’t even know it’s a process. You just move forward. You create, adjust, correct. One thing leads to another, and along the way, you shape what you once dared to imagine.
So thank you, Byphasse, for giving us so many moments of satisfaction, hope, and glimpses of the fruits of our efforts. We know that even when you work hard, results aren’t always immediate. And perhaps that’s where the magic lies: in moving forward even when the fruits aren’t yet visible.
What is the biggest daily challenge for Byphasse?
Croline: Managing everything at once. Making decisions, supporting the team, handling the unexpected… while trying not to lose personal balance. After 25 years, we can say that the real challenge is not just creating a company, but keeping it strong over time without betraying your values. Being resilient even when personal life gets complicated, adapting your routine at each stage, taking care of your energy and health…
Your favorite product, Caroline?
Croline: If I had to choose two products that marked a special period in my life, it would undoubtedly be the almond and cotton shower gels for what they represented at that time. They were born when our third daughter arrived. For me, they extended that soft bubble feeling that surrounds the early days of motherhood. Their scent wrapped me in calm, prolonging that moment of tenderness filling the house. Those minutes under the shower became a ritual, a sweet pause in the whirlwind of motherhood. Today, as our children have grown, I enjoy the Plaisir Nature gels much more, with more tonic and revitalizing notes. They give me a sense of energy and movement.
Because in the end, our products aren’t just formulas and scents… They are memories, emotions, and moments that accompany us through every chapter of our story.
And yours, Didier?
Didier: My beauty must-have (yes, you read that right)… You probably weren’t expecting this answer. My favorite product is the micellar solution. And thanks to it, I discovered other products that completed my own beauty routine.
I know, for a man of my generation (1955), this isn’t very common. But believe me, I’ve realized that skincare goes far beyond aesthetics.
I discovered that having a beauty routine is a moment of pause in my busy days. A way to switch off mental noise, even if—I admit—many times inspiration comes in that stillness (hahaha).
So yes, if someone had told me years ago that I’d find a little daily refuge in cosmetics, I probably would have laughed. But today, I can say with certainty: some unexpected pleasures are meant to stay.
What is your vision for the next 25 years?
Exactly the same as 25 years ago: to continue offering our consumers a wide range of personal care and hygiene products in XL formats at XS prices, with essential products (like shower gels or cleansers) but also formulas that meet the “I want something I love, not just something I need” mindset (Love Actually, 2003).

Carefully crafted from the letters “B” and “S”, which form the basis of the brand’s original logo, these two letters intertwine organically and fluidly, evoking the shape of a wave — a key element of the brand’s visual identity.
To achieve a modern, clean, and minimalist design, the original Avant Garde Sans-serif typography was used, bringing a sense of freshness and sophistication.

VEGAN By the end of 2024, we achieved our goal of having 70% of our products certified vegan by 2025. This involved a meticulous audit of our products, carried out by an external certification agency.

1. HEALTHY ECONOMIC RELATIONS
Byphasse is concerned about working in harmony with its suppliers and commercial partners. That is why we ensure healthy economic relations that avoid jeopardizing the sustainability of either party’s business.
2. ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
At Byphasse, we are aware of what we owe to our environment. That is why we are working to preserve biodiversity by constantly increasing our number of vegan certified products.
Our goal? To have more than 70% of our catalog be vegan products by 2025.
3. GIVING, THE ACT OF DOING GOOD
We have been working with Caritas Spain since 2013, ensuring that the neediest have access to BYPHASSE hygiene products. We regularly donate essential products to this NGO, which benefits more than 3,000 at-risk families living in Barcelona and its surrounding areas.
At Byphasse, we believe that it's the sum of small gestures that leads to big changes.
1 small gesture + 1 small gesture + 1 small gesture + ..... = 1 BIG gesture for the planet.
Sustainability is the greatest challenge of our time, and we want to contribute to social and economic progress, especially by reducing plastic in our packaging. By redesigning the packaging of our bottles across all product ranges in 2024, we successfully saved 48.4 tons of plastic compared to the previous year. To further our commitment, starting in 2024, we began introducing 100% RPET plastic in our packaging production. This is a 100% recycled and infinitely recyclable plastic, ensuring a more sustainable future.
Since 2021, we have been making more conscious choices for our consumers. That’s why we offer certified vegan products, free of any animal-derived ingredients, and easily identifiable thanks to a visible quality label on the product. We make a point of working in short circuits with European partners, mainly in Spain, to minimize our carbon footprint. Working in this way also offers the advantage of being able to easily organize visits to our partners' factories to facilitate our interactions and optimize our collaboration.
